JAKARTA - The Head of Traffic for the Duren Sawit Police, Iptu Ariel, predicts that the volume of Eid homecoming flows that pass on Jalan Raya Kalimalang, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, will increase in the early hours of Friday, April 5.

"It is predicted that the peak of homecoming will be tonight after 24.00 WIB, because they avoid heat and traffic jams," said Iptu Ariel at the location.

From VOI's observation on Jalan Raya Kalimalang, Thursday, April 4, at around 21.24 WIB, the traffic flow seemed to be busy smoothly.

The Duren Sawit Police Traffic Unit said there was no visible buildup of travelers using two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles along Jalan Raya Kalimalang, Duren Sawit.

"We anticipate that we prepare traffic engineering, even if it is crowded we will switch left and right with the aim of staying straight. We are still trying to keep this traffic flowing," he said.

Traffic flow engineering on Jalan Raya Kalimalang, Duren Sawit, will be implemented situationally. Iptu Ariel emphasized that the Eid homecoming post has been prepared along Kalimalang to Bekasi.

"Especially at Pangkalan Jati, Radin Inten and at Haji Naman. Members have been prepared to help smooth the travelers. For engineering, it will be situational," he said.

Regarding the placement of traffic personnel, there will be 20 joint personnel from a number of units and other agencies.

"Every post is Pam from traffic, Sabhara, Polsek, Polres also from other units. There are from Koramil, kelurahan, sub-districts, Pol PP, Dishub who also help. For the number depending on the situation, if there are large posts there are 10 to 20 people," he said.
