JAKARTA - Minister of State Secretary Pratikno denied the issue that President Joko Widodo had entrusted him to join Prabowo Subianto's cabinet.

"Let's leave it like that, Gofood, Gojek. Yes, it's not," Pratikno told reporters at the Ministry of State Secretariat building, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 3.

When asked if he was willing to be drawn into the upcoming government cabinet, Pratikno said that he would always try to contribute his best to the government.

"Yes, we (I) try to help to contribute to the best government. Contributing many ways, how to return as an academic also contributes," said Pratikno.

Previously, the General Chairperson of the Red and White Solidarity (Solmet) volunteer Silfester Matina after meeting President Jokowi at the Bogor Palace, Tuesday (2/4) also said that President Joko Widodo would not leave names to become ministers who would fill Prabowo Subianto's cabinet.

"(The president said) The authority to appoint a Minister is the prerogative of the elected president. 'I don't want to interfere in this matter, the process is still long after the inauguration of the President on October 20, 2024. Only after that is the appointment of ministers and the establishment of cabinets'," said Silfester conveying what the President said at the meeting at the Bogor Palace, Tuesday.

Silfester in a written statement said he was summoned by President Jokowi to discuss one and a half hours, starting at 10.00-11.30 WIB.
