Command Center KM 188 Cipali Toll Road Supply Data On Traffic Homecoming For Eid

Director of Law Enforcement (Dirgakum) Korlantas Polri Brigadier General Raden Slamet Santoso confirmed that the command center at KM 188 Cipali Toll Road will help process traffic information quickly, especially during the 2024 Eid homecoming and return flow.

"This Commmand center at KM 188 can process information on toll roads and arteries through the installation of existing CCTV cameras," Slamet said at a press conference in Cirebon, West Java, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, April 1.

He explained that the command center (operational control) at the former Palimanan Toll Gate is now starting to function, thus supporting the performance of police officers in implementing an effective scheme to facilitate traffic flow on the toll road.

Slamet said the command center has also been integrated with the command center on the KM 29 toll road section. This means that every movement of vehicles from Jakarta to Java can be monitored regularly.

"When the homecoming flow is monitored, the movement of traffic flow from Jakarta enters West Java and is released in Central Java. Likewise, at the time of the backflow," he said.

To support the command center function, he said, every 500 meters along the toll road has been installed with CCTV cameras that are always active to monitor the current conditions of traffic flow.

According to him, when there is a density or problem related to traffic, officers in the field can immediately handle it.

"This command center will be monitored for good movement on the Cipali route, the Jakarta-Cikampek route, then to Kalikangkung. If it is monitored and connected, it will be easier to manage it," he said.

Slamet hopes that this command center can facilitate services for road users during this year's Eid homecoming and return flow, so that everyone can reach their destination safely.

Meanwhile, ASTRA Toll Operations Director Cipali Rinaldi said the command center KM 188 had been equipped with a number of facilities, to support its function as a traffic communication and coordination center.

For example, inside the operation control center is available nine walls containing information from CCTV on the Cipali Toll Road, Cisumdawu Toll Road, as well as CCTV for the Jasamarga Toll Road. There is also an information dashboard of the Remote Traffic Microwave Sensor (RTMS) and Traffic Monitoring Per Jam (MLPJ). Traffic monitoring can be clearly visible," he said.

Rinaldi said that in terms of communication, the command center of KM 188 is equipped with a radio operator table from the West Java Regional Police to facilitate communication between officers in the control room and in the field.

"With the existence of this command center at KM 188 Palimanan, we hope that traffic information on the Cipali Toll Road can be captured in a real time manner," he said.
