AMIN Legal Team Calls Jokowi Use Social Assistance For Prabowo-Gibran's Integrated Campaign

JAKARTA - A member of the legal team Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) Bambang Widjojanto said that the high vote acquisition of Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka and winning the 2024 presidential election was caused by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi)'s neutrality.

Bambang said that one of the interventions carried out by Jokowi to gain Prabowo-Gibran's votes was the misuse of social assistance (bansos). Jokowi, said Bambang, distributed social assistance to areas where Prabowo's votes needed to be raised.

This was conveyed by Bambang in the inaugural trial of the 2024 presidential election dispute at the Constitutional Court (MK) building.

"Violations in the form of the involvement of the presidential institution for the benefit of candidate pair 02 appear and are evident from the covert campaign by President Jokowi in his various visits, accompanied by the distribution of social assistance in the province which is the area of operation, where Prabowo Subianto apparently received low votes in the 2014 and 2019 elections with an estimated target of 27 million voters," said Bambang, Thursday, March 27.

Bambang gave an example, there were 15 regions in Central Java that were targeted by the distribution of social assistance which turned out to result in a significant increase in votes for Prabowo-Gibran in the 2024 presidential election compared to Prabowo's previous presidential election.

Another example that Bambang highlighted was the acquisition of Prabowo-Gibran's votes in the Talaud Islands, North Sulawesi, which was also the target point for distributing social assistance, which was 75.39 percent.

Meanwhile, in the 2014 presidential election, Prabowo's vote was only 21.91 percent. Then, Prabowo's voice in the 2019 presidential election was only 9.01 percent.

"After visiting Pak Jokowi to several places in several areas, if we categorize Pak Prabowo's figures in 2014, 2019, and 2024 where power interventions occur, there will be a tremendous spike," explained Bambang.

From Jokowi's mentioned intervention, Bambang then explained a survey of the electability trend of presidential candidates before the registration period for the 2024 General Election until before the voting.

Prior to August 2023, Prabowo Subianto, according to the survey, was around 24.6 percent. When Prabowo registered with Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who was Jokowi's son in October 2023, the pair's votes rose above 30 percent.

Then, a survey in February 2024 before the vote, Prabowo-Gibran's electability touched 58.4 percent.

"By juxtaposing a survey between before and after the intervention of power, there was an unnatural increase of 34 percent in just 5 months from October 2023 to February 2024. This is something very extraordinary to show that there is a terrible fraud incident," said Bambang.

For information, the presidential election dispute lawsuit filed by Anies and Muhaimin has case number 2/PHPU.PRES-XXII/2024. In the lawsuit, they wanted a re-voting by disqualifying Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
