The Case Of Pertalite Mixed Water Gasoline At Gas Stations, Bekasi City Disperindag Suspects There Will Be A Leak In The Fuel Tank

BEKASI CITY - Bekasi City Government suspects that the cause of fuel oil (BBM) at gas stations is 34,17106 mixed with water due to leaks at the bottom of the tank. In addition, gas station tanks are also near the river.

"So this indication is a leak from below. So it's not intentional by the gas station. The cause is leakage from below, it will be explained to the public later," said Bekasi City Head of Industry and Trade, Roberts Siagaan when confirmed, Wednesday, March 27.

Due to this incident, the Bekasi City Trade Office admitted that it was careless in the supervision until this incident occurred.

"We from the Bekasi City Trade Office as a control and supervision of gas stations have carried out procedures. We will increase supervision again," he said.

The results of the Bekasi City Disperindag investigation, the findings of Pertalite fuel mixed with water have also been known to his party.

"In the meantime, yes (see mixed water). Later there will be a check where it leaked. Because we are near the river. Only pertalite (is indicated to be mixed with water)," he said.

Meanwhile, consumers who own motorbikes and cars that have been damaged due to filling pertalite fuel mixed with water have been handled.

"There are 7 motorbikes and 1 car that has reported. For victims who suffered vehicle damage, we have called all of them today, and all gas stations are responsible for all of them. The car is being taken care of by the dealer," he explained.

Bekasi City Industry and Trade Department together with Pertamina have also taken samples for internal checks.

"Earlier, I took a sample to check the structure below. All samples are available. Pertamina's authority (investigation results)," he said.

Previously, it was reported that there was a scene of finding suspected mixed gasoline at gas stations 34,17106, Jalan Ir. H. Juanda, near the Months of Bekasi Station, Bekasi City, West Java, which was immediately followed up by the Bekasi City Government (Pemkot), Wednesday, March 27.

This finding began with the presence of several motorbikes and cars that suddenly broke down after filling fuel oil (BBM) at gas stations 34,17106. After being investigated, it turned out that the pertalite type fuel was indicated to be mixed with water.

The incident occurred on Monday night, March 25, 2024. The incident occurred at around 21.00 WIB. The vehicle owners also complained to the gas station while carrying a sample of Pertalite fuel mixed with water.
