Floods Due To Broken Embankments In The Hek Area, Jalan Raya Bogor Has Receded

JAKARTA - Flooding on Jalan Raya Bogor KM 19, Hek area, Balekambang Village, Kramatjati District, East Jakarta, finally receded, Monday, March 25, noon.

The puddle, which began to overflow to Jalan Raya Bogor, occurred at around 03.00 WIB in the morning. The initial height of the inundation was about 30 centimeters.

Kasatpel Water Resources (SDA) Kramat Jati District, Muchlis said, the inundation on Jalan Raya Bogor, precisely at the Hek intersection, occurred due to runoff from Kalibaru.

Incidentally, the condition of the water discharge is high due to shipments from Bogor, West Java. Then at that location there was a embankment that was previously broken for access to and from the beckhoe type of heavy equipment. Because at the location there is a embankment installation work being carried out by the DKI SDA Office.

"So the Kalibaru water overflowed through embankments whose conditions were lower than others. Because at the point of the embankment it was used for access in and out of heavy equipment for repairing embankments," he said.

According to him, the embankment was deliberately broken down by a third party implementing the project, to facilitate the repair work of the Kalibaru embankment.

Currently, the embankment has not yet been carried out, so the condition is automatically lower than the embankment at other points.

It was through the embankment that the water overflowed heavily, inundating Jalan Raya Bogor. However, his party also did not deploy a mobile pump because this was the runoff of Kalibaru.

"But at this time, there are no more puddles on the streets, only the garbage that is carried away by the current is being cleaned up by the ranks of the DKI Sanitation Service and PPSU," he said.
