KPU Sets 2024 Election Results After Iftar

The General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia will determine the results of the 2024 General Election recapitulation (Pemilu), tonight or after breaking the fast.

Currently, the calculation process is still in the provinces of Papua and Papua mountains.

"Well maybe if the definitive time is possible after, we take a break to worship, fasting, yes, breaking time, that kind of thing, so that's it, friends," said RI KPU member August Mellaz at the KPU RI Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 20.

Before determining the results of the national level recapitulation, KPU Chairman Hasyim Asy'ri and the commissioners will hold a plenary meeting first.

The goal is to ensure that all data or documents received by the KPU are complete.

"Well, maybe later there will be a need for time in us to carry out funerals or check the required documents," he said.

"So what is clear is that later when plenary recapitulation we will see how the dynamics are for the two provinces. After it is determined, we will definitely need a time lag to check the documents," continued Mellaz.

Currently, the national level vote recapitulation process for the mountainous Papua province is still ongoing. This means that it has entered the final part in the counting stage.

Meanwhile, the KPU has the deadline for announcing the election results until Wednesday, March 20, at 23.59 WIB.
