Several hotspots were detected in a number of areas in North Sumatra. The findings were revealed by the Medan Region I Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Center (BBMKG) through the monitoring of the Tera, Aqua, SNPP, and NOAA20 Satellites.

Launching Antara, BBMKG forecaster for Medan Region I Martha Manurung in Medan, Saturday, said the seven hotspots were monitored at two points in Kwaluh Hilir District, North Labuhanbatu Regency.

Then, one point in Batang Angkola District, South Tapanuli Regency and four points in Aek Alasan District, Asahan Regency.
