'Prambanan Dalam Sunyi' Hadir Di Candi Prambanan Pada Hari Nyepi 2024

PT Taman Wisata Borobudur Temple, Prambanan, and Ratu Boko (TWC) closed the Prambanan Temple Tourism Park destination on the moment of Nyepi New Year's Day Saka 1946 through the "Prambanan in Sunyi" program, Monday 11 March.

"This closure is carried out as a form of respect for Hindus who are carrying out Catur Brata Penyepian," said GM of Prambanan & Palace Ratu Boko PT TWC I Gusti Putu Ngurah Sedana, as reported by Antara.

According to him, at this time of closure the Prambanan Temple area was guarded by "pecalang" in the form of bragada soldiers who were adjusted to local wisdom and equestrian soldiers from the Yogyakarta Special Region Police (DIY).

"This Prambanan candidate is located on the border of Sleman, DIY, and Klaten, Central Java, so that we take the 'pecalang' from the Bregada Mantrijeron Yogyakarta group, this is a form of local wisdom because here there is no 'pecalang'," he said.

He said this bregada was guarding at three entrance points in the Prambanan Temple area, namely at the South door, the East door, and the North door.

"Each door is guarded by two bregada people," he said.

I Gusti Putu said the "Prambanan Dalam Sunyi" program is a form of PT TWC's respect for Hindus who are doing "Tapa Brata Penyepian".

"The Catur Brata Penyepian is a sale carried out by Hindus during Nyepi, which is to observe works (not working), observe lelungan (not traveling), observe genes (not lighting fires), and observe auctions (not having fun)," he said.

According to him, this closure was accompanied by a power outage in the Prambanan TWC area on March 11, 2024, at 06.00 WIB to 06.00 WIB on March 12, 2024.

"In addition, at the closing of this destination, 10 artists will also paint through drawing sketches that will record the nuances of 'Prambanan in Sunyi'," he said.

One of the members of Bregada Mantrijeron Tian Juniardo who also guarded the entrance to Prambanan Temple on the East side said that the Bregada Mantrijeron group strongly supports Prambanan Dalam Sunyi's activities because it is a form of respect and tolerance.

"This year is the second year that Bregada Mantrijeron was involved in guarding Prambanan Temple during Nyepi Day," he said.

According to him, the clothes currently worn are modifications of the modified "Daeng" Soldier clothing of the Yogyakarta Palace so that it is not exactly the same as the original Daeng Soldier uniform. Meanwhile, last year, he wore the uniform of the Yogyakarta Palace Lombok Soldier.

"The rules are like that, so the clothes or uniforms of the bregada are the basic patterns that refer to the uniform of the palace soldiers, but they cannot be the same exactly, they must be modified like pants should not be the same exactly or others," he said.
