Head of the Public Relations Bureau for Promotion and Protocol of BP Batam Ariastuty Sirait said the people working on the 39 land parcels had agreed and voluntarily handed over their land for the construction of new housing for the people affected by the Rempang Eco City project.
He explained that BP Batam built 961 new residences for people affected by the development of Rempang Eco-City, which is targeted to start construction in early April 2024.
Not only BP Batam, the Ministry of PUPR will also start land maturation and construction of social facilities as well as public facilities in the community's new residential area in mid-March.
"From the delineation of the shift area of 93.87 hectares, there are 45 parcels of land that have been cultivated by residents. From the area of land, 90.73 percent or an area of 85.17 hectares have voluntarily released their land to the government," he said.
He continued that 85.17 hectares of land consisting of 39 parcels and the community working on the land had voluntarily agreed and agreed on the sago of the hearts given, in accordance with applicable regulations.
