JAKARTA - Member of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Jhonny Simanjuntak, assessed that the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono did not have the sensitivity to resolve a problem by focusing on the community.
This is in response to the revocation of the Jakarta Superior Student Card (KJMU) for many students and causing complaints and criticism of the DKI Provincial Government.
"Pak Heru Budi, I see that he doesn't have a sense of crisis. His approach is how to save our funds. But he doesn't (see) the consequences. There are people whose interests are disturbed, especially the interests of the lower class," Jhonny told reporters, Thursday, March 7.
In the preparation of the APBD for the 2024 fiscal year, Jhonny said that the DKI Provincial Government has reduced the budget for educational assistance on the grounds of regional cash savings.
The special budget for the distribution of KJMU in 2024 is IDR 180 billion. In fact, in 2023, the budget will reach IDR 360 billion.
"So Mr. Heru Budi has no breakthrough efforts. He plays more in savings which results in poor people," said the member of Commission E of the DKI Jakarta DPRD.
On that basis, Jhonny said that Commission E would hold a working meeting asking the DKI Provincial Government, especially the DKI Jakarta Education Office, to clarify the issue of the revocation of the KJMU.
Since yesterday, social media has been enlivened by complaints from students who are no longer listed as recipients of KJMU for Rp9 million per semester of money assistance distributed by the DKI Provincial Government.
Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono opened his voice. Heru did not explain about the budget reduction. What is recognized is that there is a change in the data on KJMU recipients phase 1 of 2024 due to a new mechanism in the use of data sources.
One of the data sources in question is the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) as of February and November 2022, as well as as as of January and December 2023 which were approved by the Ministry of Social Affairs.
The synchronization of asset ownership data and vehicles is also included in the DTKS update.
"Data from the DKI Regional Government is of course in sync with data from the Ministry of Social Affairs. We put it out. So, the DTKS data on the Jakarta database is from DKI as a result of community rembugs. That is included, combined with DTKS," said Heru.
Then, the data is matched with data from the Socio-Economic Registration (Regsosek) issued by the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas).
"Entering DTKS, it will be immediately matched again with Regsosek data. Well, that is the guide for all of us to take a policy," he added.
