SERANG - The Serang Police Satreskrim Inafis team conducted a crime scene (TKP) and evacuated the discovery of a corpse at Cerocoh Beach, Domas Village, Pontang District, Serang Regency, Banten. The Head of the Pontang Police, AKP Junaedi, said that the discovery of the bodies shocked fishermen at Cerocoh Beach, Domas Village, Pontang District. The body was found lying between mangrove trees on Sunday. The body is male, patterned and shorts. No identity was found on the body in this rotting state. To determine the cause of death, this unidentified man's body was rushed to Bhayangkara Hospital in Serang City. "The body of this man of identity is estimated to be 40 years old, about 165 cm tall and has no special characteristics," he said in Serang, Banten, Antara, Monday, March 4. The police chief explained that the bodies of the victims were first found by Sarnadi (39) and Kaspin (50) local fishermen who previously smelled a foul smell and the discovery of the body was then reported to the Pontang Police Headquarters. Armed with information from residents, personnel from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pontang Police, the Serang Police Inafis Team and medical officers at Bhayangkara Hospital immediately moved to the location. Arriving at the location, officers immediately carried out security and processed the crime scene. "From the results of the examination, the officers did not find any identity on the victim's body. Then the officers evacuated the victim's body to Bhayangkara Hospital," he explained. Regarding the condition of the rotting body, the police chief predicts that the victim has been dead for more than two days. However, his party has not been able to provide information regarding the cause of death because an autopsy must be carried out first. "The cause of death is not yet known because an autopsy must be carried out first," he said.

The police chief added that the unidentified man's body was not thought to be a local resident because no resident knew or felt he had lost his family members. "For people who feel they have lost a member of their family, they can report to the nearest Polsek office or go directly to Bhayangkara Hospital in Serang City," he appealed.
