JAKARTA - With the changing times moving faster, professionalism is no longer determined only by technical ability in working. Physical health, the ability to adapt to technological developments, and strong social networks are an important part of supporting the quality of the profession.

This also applies to notaries who have a strategic role in providing legal certainty and maintaining public trust.

Physical activities such as running are now increasingly chosen as a means of maintaining health while building professional relationships. Various professional communities are beginning to integrate sports with education and competence development activities.

This concept is considered capable of creating a balance between work productivity, health, and strengthening solidarity among members of the profession.

This spirit is one of the colors in the commemoration of the 118th Anniversary of the Indonesian Notary Association (INI) which carries the theme "One Dedication, One Million Trust, 118 Years of INI for Gold Indonesia" with the motto "United and Working to Maintain the Trust of the Nation".

This year's series of activities not only focuses on ceremonies, but also presents various programs that reflect the values of dedication and social concern.

Starting from pilgrimages and honoring senior notary figures and former General Chairman of the Indonesian Notary Association, blood donation, organizational thanksgiving, social service in the form of mass circumcision in Tegal City, seminars, to various scientific activities involving members from across Indonesia.

The General Chair of the Indonesian Notary Association, Dr. H. Irfan Ardiansyah, S.H., Sp.N., LL.M., explained that the series of activities for this year's HUT was designed to be sustainable and touched on various aspects of the organization.

"We have arranged this 118th anniversary as a series of activities that are not only ceremonial, but also educational and social," he said at the Indonesian Notary Association's Central Office, Jakarta, Sunday, June 14, 2026.

"It starts from pilgrimage to the seniors and predecessors of the organization, followed by blood donation, thanksgiving, social service, seminars, to various activities that strengthen the unity of members," he said.

As the culmination of the INI's 118th anniversary series, the Indonesian Notary Association's Central Management once again presents NOTARACE 2026, an activity that combines sports, education, and socializing in a different experience.

Carrying the tagline "Legal Precision, Racing Passion" or "Accurate on Paper, Fast on the Track", NOTARACE 2026 will take place on July 26, 2026 at Eastvara BSD, Tangerang Regency, Banten, with a start at 05.30 WIB.

The success of the NOTARACE 2025 which received a positive response from participants is the main reason for the return of this event with a richer concept.

Not only presenting the experience of running together, participants will also receive updates on the latest regulatory and notary practice developments, including discussion of the obligation to hold the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) which is relevant for notaries, Extraordinary Members (ALB), and business actors.

According to Irfan, the transformation of the concept of this activity is part of the organization's efforts to continue to provide added value for its members.

"Several years ago, activities like this were more focused on sports. Now we are developing the concept by adding elements of education and updating professional insights, so that participants not only get health benefits, but also knowledge that can support the implementation of daily tasks," he said.

He added that this activity is also a means of consolidating the organization in the midst of a digital era that continues to develop.

"The development of time is impossible for us to avoid. In this era of digitalization, the notary's need to provide services to the community must be more concrete and adaptive. Therefore, activities such as NOTARACE become a space for consolidation, friendship, and strengthening unity for all members," said Irfan.

More than just a sporting event, NOTARACE is a symbol of the spirit of togetherness that is still maintained by the Indonesian Notary Association. With a network of organizations consisting of 34 Regional Managers and 236 Regional Managers throughout Indonesia, the 118th anniversary momentum is expected to be able to strengthen relations between members and strengthen the contribution of the notary profession to society.

"Our hope is that all members of the Indonesian Notary Association will be more solid in facing various changes and challenges in the future. Through this activity, we want to strengthen unity, expand social relations, and maintain public confidence in the notary profession," concluded Irfan.

Through various social, educational, and sports activities held throughout the 118th anniversary, the Indonesian Notary Association showed that professionalism is not only built through competence, but also through social, health, and community awareness. A step in line with the spirit of Golden Indonesia, where public trust is the main foundation in the development of national law.
