Dante's Death Case, Police Examine 29 Witnesses And 9 Experts

Polda Metro Jaya continues to investigate the death of Raden Andante Khalif Pramudityo or Dante, the son of Tamara Tyasmara, who was allegedly drowned by Yudha Arfandi. Investigators have examined 29 witnesses.

"The dynamics of the investigation process that we have carried out, in total we have examined 29 witnesses," said Director of General Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Wira Satya Triputra, to reporters, Wednesday, February 28.

Not only that, investigators have also asked for expert information. But Wira did not specify what experts had been asked for his opinion regarding the case.

Based on VOI records, two of the experts who have been questioned are gestures or body movements experts and swimming sports experts.

The demand for a swimming sports expert's view aims to find out the SOP in teaching swimming. This is a follow-up to the suspect's confession which argued that he only taught Dante to swim.

"Then, we also complete the examination of 9 expert witnesses and also we have examined the suspect," said Wira.

In handling this case, investigators have carried out reconstructions in two locations, namely Polda Metro Jaya and Taman Pond Swimming Tirta, Pondok Kelapa, East Jakarta.

In the reconstruction, there were 115 scenes that were re-enacted. In which, 65 of them described when the suspect buried Dante's body in the water.

Yudha Arfandi drowned Dante 12 times at different times.

In this case, Yudha Arfandi was charged with Article 76C in conjunction with Article 80 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2014 concerning amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection and or Article 340 of the Criminal Code and or Article 338 of the Criminal Code and or Article 359 of the Criminal Code.
