Waiting For Traffic Corps Action On The Streets With A Luxury Tesla Car

JAKARTA - The Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the Indonesia National Police (Polri) received an electric car, Tesla. In the future, this luxury car is planned to be used along the road or on patrol.

"This electric car can motivate Korlantas, of course, for the future patrol cars," said Police Head of Traffic Police Inspector General Istiono in his statement, Thursday, February 25.

The use of Tesla cars in patrol activities can also support government programs regarding environmentally-friendly vehicles.

The reason is, this type 3 Tesla car is not only environmentally friendly because it has electricity. Because, this car is also effective, efficient, and more economical. So, it can reduce air pollution which is very irritating.

"This is our pride and we will use it as much as possible to serve the community," he said.

It's just that there has not been clearly described further steps and planning regarding the use of these electric cars.

Apart from the planned use of the Traffic Corps, this electric car made by Tesla has indeed been widely used by the Police in a number of countries such as the US and the United Arab Emirates as a patrol vehicle.

This type 3 Tesla car is included in the luxury car category. This is because the price of a Tesla 3 car can reach IDR 1 billion.

As for the type of car that was granted by IMI, namely the Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus. Reporting from ev-database.org, this Standard Range Plus type has a battery capacity of 50 kWh and can travel 400 KM in one charge.

This Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus has 325 PS of power or the equivalent of 320.5 TK and 420 Nm of torque which is channeled to the rear wheels. Then the performance, 0-100 kph is achieved in 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 225 kph.

Supporting features in this car include an Autopilot Mode steering system, Recirculating Air Quality Mode, a 15-inch Futuristic Touch Screen, an Audio System with 15 speakers, 1 subwoofer, and 2 amps, as well as a Tinted Glass Roof with UV & infrared light protection technology.

Speaking of prices, based on information from the official Prestige Motorcars website, the Tesla Model 3 electric car is marketed in Indonesia at a price of IDR 1.5 billion. Apart from Tesla, it is rumored that the Traffic Police Corps will also use the Ioniq electric car from Hyundai.
