Asking For Bullying At Binus School To Be Resolved In A Peaceful Way, Ministry Of Law And Human Rights Reasons For Perpetrators With Child Status

JAKARTA - Director General of Human Rights (HAM) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Dhana Putra asked the resolution of the bullying case at Binus School to prioritize restorative justice because the perpetrators are still children. Officials must be wise and wise.

"Given that the perpetrators are children, the restorative justice approach and the best interests of children must be put forward," said Dhana, quoted from her written statement, Saturday, February 24.

Dhana emphasized that all forms of bullying cannot be justified. However, the settlement must be in accordance with the Child Protection Law and the Child Criminal Justice System (SPPA) Law which is considered adequate.

"We believe law enforcement officials are able to wisely and wisely view cases like this by of course prioritizing the best interests of children," he said.

"From the eyes of human rights, bullying under any pretext clearly injures dignity and honor and causes psychological losses for every individual who becomes a victim so that it cannot be allowed," continued Dhana.

In the future, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights ensures that it will continue to campaign for the implementation of human rights values in the world of education by cooperating with various parties. They will also strengthen students and young people.

The Ministry of Law and Human Rights has formed a Human Rights Lovers Youth Community (Koppeta HAM) with students in Jakarta. The hope is that this group can help the government to instill value related to the early implementation of human rights, including preventing bullying.
