The Alleged HTI Group Holds An Event At TMII, The Manager Gives Clarification

JAKARTA - The manager of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) responded to an event held by an organization suspected of being affiliated with Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI). This allegation arises from social media (Sosmed) X tweets with the @chanzyyek account that the event which was held was called Metamorphosshow: It's Time to Be One Ummah which took place at the Tanah Airku TMII Theater, Saturday, February 17th

Not only that, but the event was also allegedly attended by former HTI spokesman Ismail Yusanto, Gen Z Influencer HTI M Ihsan Akbar, and Islamic History Docusinemq Producer Khilafah in the Archipelago Akhmad Adiasta.

Head of the Public Relations Section of TMII, Novera Mayang, said that his party before the event was held had received a letter from the organizing committee on Wednesday, February 2.

"We were given to receive the previous letter related to the Isra Mi'raj 1445 H Commemoration activity located at the Tanah Airku Theater Building. The letter submitted was in the form of a free pass application and a shuttle activity. Regarding this free pass application, the TMII management did not grant it and still paid according to the provisions," he said, Friday, February 23.

Mayang said that the event which was held at the asset location managed by third-party partners had also received a crowd permit.

The permit was issued by the Cipayung Police Chief on Friday, February 9 regarding the commemoration of Isra Mi'raj 1445 H.

"The position of TMII in this case as regional manager, so that the content or substance of the event is the responsibility of the organizers," he said.

Mayang revealed that during the event, no attributes were found around the location of the Indonesian Theater. In addition, there were no other security and comfort disturbances for TMII visitors.

"Currently, the Police are coordinating with TMII Management to conduct an investigation," he said.

The HTI group was officially disbanded and banned on July 19, 2017 and confirmed by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkum HAM).
