JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR Habiburokhman responded to the presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo who encouraged his supporting political parties in the DPR to roll out the right of inquiry for alleged fraud in the 2024 presidential election. Habiburokhman said that for 10 years he had not passed the right of inquiry in the DPR.

"It's been 10 years as far as I know that there has never been an award right that has passed, try looking for a proposal for an increase in fuel rights, a proposal for an increase in the right to inquiry about things, the last time was before 2009 the right of inquiry," said Habiburokhman in Senayan, Central Jakarta, Thursday, February 22.

"During the election regarding the 2009 election process, which finally turned voters without being listed, as long as they have documents, they can choose, after that there are none," he continued.

The deputy chairman of the TKN, Prabowo-Gibran, assessed that parties who suspected that there was fraud in the election process should have reported the issue before the voting.

"That's why yesterday, if it was considered that there were many problems, the right of inquiry should be the time of process, before voting it should be, so there are many recommendations for improvements that can be made," said Habiburokhman.

The deputy chairman of Gerindra then mentioned the words of the Vice Presidential Candidate number 3, Mahfud MD, that the fraud narrative emerged from the losing election participants.

"To improve the election, that's why what Prof Mahfud said, who lost, sought excuses, who lost, accused the election of cheating but did not provide input for improvement," said Habiburokhman.
