PKD Dies In The 2024 Election Receiving Compensation From Bawaslu

JAKARTA - The General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Bone Regency, South Sulawesi, will provide compensation for the families of village village sub-district supervisors (PKD) who died while carrying out their duties in the 2024 election.

The head of the Bone Alwi Regency Bawaslu, said that Bawaslu had covered all the costs needed during the handling of the victims at the Tenriawaru Hospital.

In fact, he said, Bawaslu would also provide compensation for the PKD who died.

"The cost of A to Z is borne by the Bone Regency Bawaslu. Later there will also be compensation, we will take them directly to the funeral home," said Alwi, quoted from Antara, Sunday, February 18.

According to him, if the supervisory officer of the village sub-district who died was an officer who had to get attention, both from Bawaslu and the government.

"Of course we convey our condolences to the family of the deceased. Bawaslu as a representative of the state must be present," said Alwi.

Meanwhile, the Head of South Sulawesi Bawaslu Mardiana Rusli conveyed the same thing. His party expressed his condolences to the families of PKD victims who died while carrying out their duties.

He also expressed his appreciation and respect to all levels of district and city supervisors, Panwascam, PKD and TPS supervisors throughout the South Sulawesi region who have worked optimally to oversee the process of voting and counting elections on February 14.

"Including the performance of health workers during the voting process and the vote count is ongoing," he said.

He said that until Saturday (17/2) the South Sulawesi Bawaslu continued to record a number of supervisors at each level who were declared sick until the work accident while on duty.

"To this day, we have recorded 153 supervisors who were declared dropped or sick during their duties since February 14. Today, one more person has died, namely the village sub-district supervisor in Bawaslu, Bone Regency," said Mardiana.
