JAKARTA A sabotage group from Ukraine was arrested in a counterterrorism operation, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

The group detained on the Belarus-Ukraine border was involved in sending bombs from Ukraine to Belarus and Russia, Lukashenko told reporters in Minsk.

"Today alone, some of the perpetrators of the sabotage were detained on the Ukrainian border. Thanks to the drone's help, a number of Ukrainians were crawling through the swamps towards our borders, carrying explosives to carry out sabotage, especially in Russia and Belarus," he said as quoted by ANTARA from Anadolu, Friday, February 16.

According to the president, incidents involving infiltration of perpetrators of sabotage into Belarus occurred three times a week.
