Not Realizing After Eating Fried Rice, Junior High School Student In Gorontalo Was Molested By A Teacher

JAKARTA - An unscrupulous junior high school (SMP) honorary teacher with the initials MAL (27), a resident of Gorontalo Regency, Gorontalo Province was named a suspect in a sexual harassment case.

Unit 2 Officer, Sub-Directorate 4 of the Gorontalo Regional Police, Ipda Dyanita Shafira in Gorontalo, said that MAL was named a suspect because he was strongly suspected of committing a criminal act of sexual harassment against minors.

"There are three victims who are minors, and the reporters are the parents of the victims," said Dyanita Shafira, quoted from Antara, Thursday, February 8.

He said the incident had occurred since Wednesday, November 1, 2023, where one of the victims and one of his colleagues were in front of the school and the MAL suspect invited him to stop by his house.

Arriving at the suspect's house, the two were given food in the form of fried rice, and after eating, one of the victims was invited by the suspect to enter another room, then the suspect began to carry out the action by touching the victim's body.

At that time the victim admitted that she had begun to lose consciousness and the perpetrator continued to abuse her. Allegedly, the perpetrator put something in the food that made the victim unconscious for a moment.

The victim only woke up a few moments after being in the bathroom with the suspect. At that time the suspect resumed his action but the victim refused and fought the suspect's actions, and chose to leave the bathroom.

"After the incident, the victim told her friend at school and realized that she felt pain in one part of her body," said Dyanita Shafira.

The victim then told his parents about this, then immediately came to the Gorontalo Police Headquarters to report the incident experienced by his son.

"Of the three victims who reported. Actions were carried out at different places and times," he said.

The suspect's motive is that he is suspected of not being able to restrain his lust and do this.

His party will still conduct a psychological examination of the suspect. In addition, this case also needs to be investigated, because it does not rule out the possibility that there are other victims who have not come to report.

"Our suspect is ensnared by Article 81 paragraph 1, and paragraph 3 and or Article 2 paragraph 1 and paragraph 2, the Child Protection Law, with a penalty of 15 years in prison,"
