DKI Provincial Government Strikes 2 Students From The List Of KJP Plus Recipients Due To Brawls Under The Rebo Market Flyover

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) crossed out two East Jakarta students from the list of recipients of the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) Plus for distribution in 2024 due to being involved in a brawl under the Pasar Rebo flyover, Ciracas District, East Jakarta, Sunday (28/1).

"(The revocation of KJP Plus) is regulated in Articles 23 to 26 in Governor Regulation (Pergub) Number 110 of 2021 concerning Social Assistance for Education Costs," said Head of the Educational Personal and Operational Funding Service Center (P4OP) of the DKI Jakarta Education Office (Disdik) Waluyo Hadi as reported by ANTARA, Monday, February 5.

Waluyo said, Article 23 of students who are recipients of Social Assistance for Education costs are prohibited from spending Social Assistance on educational costs outside of use which has been regulated in Governor Regulation, smoking, using and distributing illegal narcotics and drugs.

Then, committing immoral acts, promiscuity, or sexual harassment, being involved in violence or bullying, being involved in brawls, motorcycle gangs or school gangs, drinking alcohol or alcohol, being involved in theft, committing burglary, extortion, mugging, being involved in fights, and fraud and other prohibited acts.

Previously, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government confirmed that it would revoke the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) Plus belonging to students involved in a brawl at Pasar Rebo, Ciracas, East Jakarta.

"Oh, that's automatic (revocational), if the perpetrator is the recipient of the KJP, we will investigate who it is," said Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Education Office (Disdik) Purwosusilo when confirmed in Jakarta, Wednesday (31/1).

Purwosusilo said that his party was still coordinating with the police and the region to trace the status of the teenagers involved in the brawl, starting from the complete identity and location of the school.

Police arrested four perpetrators of a brawl that resulted in a teenager with the initials DSS (18) suffering serious injuries to his wrist after being involved in a brawl under the "flyover" of Pasar Rebo, Ciracas District, East Jakarta, Sunday (28/1).

"We have arrested four perpetrators. They have the initials AM (17), AP (16), RA (15) and P (17)," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly during a press conference at the East Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters, Jatinegara, Tuesday (30/1).

The perpetrators were arrested at different locations. However, another perpetrator with the initials FAA who is the mastermind of the brawl is still at large.
