Facilitating Subang Smartpolitan Industrial Estate, Ministry Of Public Works Will Build New Toll Exits In Cipali

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) will build a new toll exit on the Cikopo 'Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road located at KM 87+950.

PU Minister Dody Hanggodo said the construction of a new exit on the Cipali Toll Road was carried out to facilitate the Subang Smartpolitan Industrial Estate which would have a strategic impact on driving West Java's economic growth.

This was conveyed by Dody after holding a meeting with the Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi, at the Ministry of Public Works office, Jakarta, Monday afternoon, March 24.

"We are ready to support the construction of this toll exit and it is open to further discussion if there are obstacles related to regulations, the most important thing is the joint intention to encourage progress," said Dody as quoted from his written statement, Tuesday, March 25.

Related to this, Director of Block Free Roads Wilan Oktavian said, later the distance between the KM 87+950 Interchange on the Cipali Toll Road and the Cipeundeuy Junction at KM 89+475 is only about 1.525 kilometers.

Referring to Government Regulation (PP) Number 23 of 2024 concerning Toll Roads, the distance between the KM 87+950 Interchange Cipali Toll Road and the Cipeundeuy Junction at KM 89+475 still does not meet the requirements. Thus, the Cipali KM 87+950 toll exit is recommended as temporary access.

In addition, Wilan also provided the latest information regarding the progress of the construction of the 37 kilometer Patimban Toll Road access. This project consists of 14 kilometers financed by the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) and the remaining 23 kilometers through the State Budget.

"The operational target for the APBN-funded part is in the third quarter of 2026, while the BUJT section is in the fourth quarter of 2026," he said.

On the same occasion, Governor Dedi said, good connectivity is vital for investment and the process of recruiting workers in the industrial area.

"We are preparing to recruit around 18,000 workers for the BYD factory, one of the main tenants in the Subang Smartpolitan Industrial Estate. The best solution for smooth access to this industrial area is through the construction of the Cipali toll exit KM 87 + 950," he said.
