Accusing Of Distributing Basic Necessities And Money, Volunteers Will Report Hoax Spreading Account Owners To Police

JAKARTA - Volunteers for Presidential Candidates (Capres) Prabowo Subianto and Vice Presidential Candidate (Cawapres) Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 02 under the name Barisan Intellectual National Objective Strategy (Bison) argues that they have committed fraud.

Bison National Coordinator, Ginka Febriyanti Ginting, said that his party only held a Cheap Foodbus program which was held at five points, especially in the East Jakarta area.

Ginka denied the allegations from a social media account X that said that her party distributed basic necessities and asked for e-KTP photos and cellphone numbers of residents who received them.

"We don't have a photo of the resident's ID card, there is no statement letter that you must choose one of the candidate pairs. It's also not true that we gave the envelope containing Rp. 30 thousand in cash, the point conveyed by the document' is not true at all," he said.

Ginka admitted that the local Panwascam had also conducted an inspection at the location after the post went viral on social media. As a result, Panwascam did not find any violations committed by Bisons during an activity in the RW 07 area, Pisangan Timur Village, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta on Saturday night, January 27.

Ginka also admitted that his party before holding the event had already made a permit.

"Panwascam has communicated that has been established regarding our activities, there are no problems and no deviant findings. We have also written to the KPU and Bawaslu in advance and notified the notification permit to the nearest police, namely the East Jakarta Metro Police," he said.

Ginka hopes that the account owner who spread the post will immediately apologize to his party. Otherwise, this case will proceed to the realm of law.

"We hope that there will be good ethics from the owner of the account, then take down the post. We wait 1x24 hours. But if there is no good ethics from the account owner, then we will bring it to the realm of law because this tarnishes the good name," he said.

Previously, a number of residents of RW 07, Pisangan Lama, Pisangan Timur Village, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta, were shocked by the existence of chain messages on the WhatsApp application from a social media post (Medsos) X with the @MirtadhaOne1 account received by residents on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.

The account uploaded a video recording and wrote a caption about the alleged candidate pair 02 field team distributing basic necessities and envelopes to the residents of East Pisangan, Pulogadung District. The distribution of basic necessities took place on Saturday, January 27.
