Jealous Of Husband's Reasons For Beating Wife With Wood To Death In Central Lombok

NTB - Police revealed that the motive for romance was the reason the man with the initials S (41) killed his wife named Irawati (39). The victim was found dead in a reservoir in Kawo Village, Pujut District, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

He said, from the autopsy results, the victim suffered injuries to the head, two teeth fell out and bruises on the cheek, resulting in bleeding and died on the spot.

"The victim was beaten to death, after that the victim was thrown into the reservoir to eliminate traces. Due to growing issues, the death toll was robbed," he said.

Previous news, the Inafis Team of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Central Lombok Police, West Nusa Tenggara carried out the investigation of the crime scene (TKP) where a woman's body was found in a dew in Kawo Village, Pujut District, Friday, January 26.

"The victim, on behalf of Irawati, was found dead lying in a reservoir near a small hut in the rice fields belonging to the victim," said Central Lombok Police Chief AKBP Iwan Hidayat.

According to her husband, the victim is estimated to be his wife still in the rice fields, because the victim often goes to the fields at night. Seeing that it was 01.00 WITA, his wife still had not returned to her house. Then the victim's husband looked for the rice fields, but they were not found, then the victim's husband returned home.

"Her husband estimates that his wife will return to his parents' house in Pengadang Hamlet, Kawo Village," he said.

Then Friday (26/1) at 08.00 WITA her husband tried to call his wife's family, it was responded that the victim never returned to Pengadang

The victim's husband returned to look for his wife to the rice fields by asking about the residents who were working. However, residents who were in the rice fields never saw the victim," he said.

Then her husband returned home again at around 10:00 WITA and when he arrived at the small hut's house, her husband saw the victim lying on an empang in the water about 30 centimeters.

He said that from the request of the family, the victim was temporarily taken to the Bhayangkara Mataram Hospital for an autopsy to determine the cause of the victim's death.
