Riding A Motorbike, Couple Killed By A Fuso Truck On Jalan Ring Road, West Jakarta

JAKARTA - A married couple (couple) died instantly when they were hit by a fuso truck on Ring Road Street, Kembangan, West Jakarta, Wednesday, January 24, at around 11.00 WIB. At the time of the incident, the two victims were riding a motorcycle.

"The victim died on the spot. The crime scene (the crime scene) is near the Kembangan Traffic Post," said Head of West Jakarta Metro Police Laka, AKP Joko Siswanto, Wednesday, January 24.

According to information, it is known that the dead victim was named Dodi Rusdi (25) and his wife Nurbay (50). Now the couple's body has been taken to Cengkareng Hospital.

"While still taking care of the victim's body. Taken to Cengkareng Hospital," said Joko.

The victim was riding a motorcycle with police number B 4679 BKF. The motorbike was squeezed at the bottom of the fuso truck.

The driver of the Fuso truck with the initials FY (37) has been arrested by the police for further questioning.

"We are temporarily holding the truck driver," added AKP Joko.

Joko explained that the accident started with a truck driven by FY driving on Ring Road Street. Then the FY truck hit the back of the motorbike driven by the victim Dodi Rusdi who was riding his wife Nurbay.

However, it is not yet known what caused the truck driver to hit the victim's motorbike from behind.

"The cause is still in the process of being investigated," added Joko.
