Regarding Megawati's Chance To Meet Surya Paloh, Hasto PDIP Answers Like This

Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto spoke about the possibility of meeting the general chairman, Megawati Soekarnoputri with the General Chairperson of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh. He said the dialogue between leaders was good to implement.

"In principle, dialogue between leaders is very important, we also know how Pak Surya Paloh is. Even though he has different political choices, dialogue is indeed important," Hasto told reporters in the Teuku Umar area, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, January 23.

Even so, Hasto assessed that there are more important things to do in the momentum of the 2024 presidential election, such as going down to meet the community. Moreover, survey institutions stated that the democratic party is likely to be held in two rounds.

"We are first focused on winning the legislative and presidential elections," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the possibility of joining PDIP and NasDem if the presidential election is held in two rounds, Hasto does not want to talk much. Because, all decisions are in the hands of the people.

"The important thing is that we do our best for the people by going down to strengthen the grassroots and convey positive things about Pak Ganjar and Prof. Mahfud," said the former member of the DPR.

"Pak Ganjar as a leader of the people, a leader as a child, will continue all people's programs from the Jokowi government," continued Hasto.

As previously reported, the General Chairperson of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, spoke about the possibility of him meeting the Chairperson of the PDI-P Megawati Soekarnoputri. He said he felt that his relationship was good so that this could happen.

"It's possible to meet it," he said after attending the inaugural campaign of the NasDem Party at Masbagik Public Field, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Monday.
