Ariani's Daughter Summarizes Music Travel Through Evolve's First Album, With Crown As The Mainstay Song

JAKARTA - The long wait was finally over. After more than six years of releasing a single and collaborating with international musicians, Putri Ariani presented her first full album titled 'Evolve'.

This album presents 15 songs that are dominated by English lyrics. A third of the materials have been released first as singles, namely Loneliness, Perfect Liar, Continue Your Good Steps, Smile Cover All Tireds, and Sheepish. While the rest are songs that have just been listened to the public, namely Stay with Me, If Love Was Never There, It's A Game, Hey, How Are You, So Goodbye, Wishing You Were Here, Nusantara (Land of the Brave), See You Again, Crown, and Stay Here.

The 'Evolve' is conceptualized by summarizing the musical journey of Princess Ariani, from talent search participants to becoming singers who explore various musical styles and songwriting with distinctive themes, such as surviving and rising from challenges, hopes, and self-discovery.

The 'Crown' has been appointed by Putri as a focus track. This song was written and produced by herself, as a carrier of the spirit to achieve success and realize dreams come true.

"That spirit is what makes us able to continue to evolve, or develop," said Princess Ariani through a press release to VOI, Friday, November 22.

This focus track is written with lyrics that require a burning spirit, coupled with an uptempo arrangement that combines elements of rock and electronic dance music (EDM).

"Crown is the song about a burning spirit. For Putri, this style is suitable to bring the spirit to friends who listen to it," said the 18-year-old singer.

Putri said that her flagship song tells how we as humans must dare to dream and process. This story is related directly to his journey as a musician.

"Whatever happens now and in the future, we always got our crown," said Putri.

"(This song) is also a reminder for Putri to always be enthusiastic, focus on working on something, and on fire in a positive context," he added.

The 'Crown' is also presented in a Musk video directed by his father, Ismawan Kurnianto. Like the theme of the song, Putri explained that this music video tells about the depiction of the process from learning, trying, being patient, consistent, to being successful.

The depiction of the clip with a dark feel at the start, the dancer whose direction is still unclear, then begins towards a brighter and more colorful transition, says Putri, describing the flow of the Crown music video.

"Evolve if the meaning (is) to develop in good terms. This album, for Putri, is a process for Putri to develop (by) trying to expand the market with English songs, and many moods for her songs also continue to grow with new songs that Putri wrote," he said.

In addition to the 'Crown' which became a mainstay, Putri also performed a special appearance in the song 'If Love Was Never There', inviting her younger sister, Devina Elysia as a duet friend.

This song is very personal, because it tells about the outpouring of the hearts of the younger sisters; Devina Elysia and Vania Larissa, about their longing when her brother rarely came home to sing.

"Finally, Putri and Devina had a duet together at IF Love Was Never There, and it was a very touching experience for us," said the America's Got Talent dropout.

Different from the previous release, Putri will host an 'Evolve' album launch over an event titled 'Evolve Charity Gala' which will take place in California, United States on Saturday, November 23 at 17.00 (5 PM) local time.

Events supported by the Indonesia Net Market (INM) and the Java Plus Association (PJP) are not only for album launches, but also includes charity activities.

With the release of this debut album, Putri hopes that 'Evolve' can be enjoyed by many people, the songs can be composed with listeners, and can be sung together.

"And, what is certain is bismillah, hopefully 'Evolve' can be accepted and liked by many people, both in Indonesia and in the international market," he said.
