Head Of BKPM To SOE Minister Support Prabowo-Gibran, Ganjar: The Important Thing Is Not To Use State Facilities

JAKARTA - Presidential Candidate number three, Ganjar Pranowo has no problem with a number of ministers in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet supporting pair number two, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Provided they don't use state facilities.

This was conveyed by Ganjar in response to a number of ministers who came to support Prabowo-Gibran during the fourth debate on Sunday, January 21. They are SOE Minister Erick Thohir and Investment Minister/Head of BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia.

"If Mr. Erick Thohir and Mr. Bahlil, it feels like yes, they will support candidate pair two. And that's okay," Ganjar told reporters as quoted in his written statement on Tuesday, January 23.

The former Governor of Central Java stated that each minister certainly has the freedom to determine the direction of politics, including Erick Thohir and Bahlil.

But Ganjar reminded that supporters who also serve as state officials should not take advantage of state facilities in providing support.

"It's okay (supporting, ed)," said Ganjar.

"The important thing is not to use state facilities. That's fair. For me, the important thing is fair. There are also PDI-P cadres in the cabimnet who go to candidate three," he concluded.
