The Head of the Kapuas Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Central Kalimantan, Panahatan Sinaga, said that six sub-districts in the local area were again hit by floods.
"The six sub-districts include Mantagai, Pasak Talawang, Kapuas Tengah, Kapuas Hulu, Badminton and Timpah sub-districts," said Panahatan Sinaga in Kuala Kapuas, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, January 19.

He explained that the water level varied from 80-190 centimeters and appealed to residents to remain vigilant because during January the rainfall was predicted to continue.
"So, we must be really vigilant against hydrometeorological disasters that are quite high. Especially people who are on the banks of rivers and flood-prone maps," he said.
According to him, based on the BPBD team's checks, in several villages that were affected by the flood, residents who experienced illness such as fever and diarrhea have not been found.

As a result of the flooding that occurred, the Kapuas Regency Government also established a flood emergency response status that occurred in six sub-districts in the local area.
"Since last night we have raised the status, from alert to emergency response. For the next fourteen days," he said.
According to Panahatan, by establishing the emergency response status for the flood disaster, all cross-sectors, OPD and related agencies are jointly united in handling residents affected by the flood disaster.
