20 Motorcycles In East Jakarta Netted By Brong Exhaust Raid

JAKARTA - East Jakarta Traffic Unit began to intensify raids on brong exhaust vehicles or racing exhausts that emit noisy sounds in a number of areas.

The Head of Traffic at the East Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Arry Setyo Utomo, confirmed that there was a raid on motorbikes with Brong exhausts in his area.

"Today, five motorbikes have been prosecuted. We will take action in a mobile manner," said Kompol Arry when confirmed by VOI, Friday, January 19.

Raids on motorbikes with Brong exhausts are deliberately not carried out by settling at a location point. This is to make it more effective in taking legal action against motorists with brong exhausts.

"Where there is a violation, action is taken, not stationary," he said.

Kompol Arry explained that currently there are 20 Brong exhaust motorbikes that have been given firm action in the form of fines.

"We have taken action with 20 motorbikes," he said.

Just so you know, sanctions for motorcyclists with Brong exhaust or noise or racing exhaust are in the form of fines of up to Rp. 250 thousand and imprisonment for a maximum of 1 month.

"We urge the public not to install Brong exhaust on their vehicles so as not to violate Article 285 paragraph 1 of Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation. Make the highway a safe and comfortable place for all," he said.
