JAKARTA A number of illegal buildings in the area of the former localization of Mount Antang, Palmeriam, Matraman, East Jakarta were brought under control by Satpol PP officers. The control, which was carried out on Thursday, January 18, was the first time since the localization of Mount Antang was leveled with the ground on August 30, 2022.

Controlling illegal buildings is carried out by joint officers from the TNI, Polri, Satpol PP and PPSU East Jakarta. The demolition of the gubug was the officer's firm stance so that the area remained neat, not becoming a wild settlement that could trigger the establishment of prostitution land, as happened in the previous year.

"We dismantled four illegal huts. Yesterday 2 people (residents) were returned to their area of origin. The collectors were brought under control", said East Jakarta Head of Satpol PP, Budy Novian when contacted by VOI, Friday morning, January 19.

As is known, last August 30, 2022, the control of illegal buildings in an integrated manner has been carried out by KAI Daop 1 Jakarta with the East Jakarta City Government. The illegal building where Gunung Antang and gambling prostitution has been established for decades on an area of 2,788.92 m2.
