Bawaslu Waits For South Jakarta City Government's Decision To Control Hazardous APK

JAKARTA - The South Jakarta General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) admits that it cannot do much related to the existence of campaign props (APK) that violate regulations in its area.

However, Bawaslu has issued a letter of recommendation to the South Jakarta City Government (South Jakarta City Government) to follow up on the APB which is dangerous and violates the KPU regulations.

"We give the final recommendation to the mayor, the Satpol PP and also the KPU. As of yesterday (Wednesday 17 January), we are still providing recommendation letters to the Mayor (Mayor of South Jakarta) and the KPU," said South Jakarta City Bawaslu Commissioner Ahmad Fahlevi when confirmed, Thursday, January 18.

"Ask the guardian to his staff to improve. Because there is no authority for Bawaslu to discipline it," he continued.

When asked about the number of recommended points, he did not know more fully. However, Ahmad ensured that the areas where there were violations in the installation of the APK were all sub-districts in South Jakarta.

"The results of mitigating all sub-districts, there are points that are indeed the focus of the APB's treatment," he said.

Therefore, his party is still waiting for the results of a decision from the South Jakarta City Government regarding a recommendation letter for controlling the violating and dangerous APK.

"We are still waiting for the city government to follow up on our mitigation results, which have been sent to them. We have sent them to the mayor (South Jakarta City)," he concluded.
