Cak Imin Doubts, Khofifah Confirms TKN Prabowo Is A Perfect NU Cadre

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN), Ali Masykur Musa, said that Khofifah Indar Parawansa is a perfect Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) cadre because it meets structural and cultural criteria.

"There are two perspectives in which Khofifah meets all the criteria. First, NU which is viewed structurally. Second, NU which is viewed culturally. Mrs. Khofifah perfectly reflects both sides," Ali said in a statement quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 17.

In terms of structurality, Ali said Khofifah was Nahdliyin who dedicated her life to NU through organizations, such as the Puteri Nahdlatul Ulama Student Association (IPPNU), the Indonesian Islamic Student Movement (PMII), to the NU Muslimat.

"Mrs. Khofifah always plans and leads organizations within NU, such as IPPNU, PMII, to NU Muslimat. In a structural manner, this is plenary," said Ali.

From a cultural point of view, Ali views Khofifah as a resident of the wal jamaah (interpretation expert) who practices the values and rituals of NU in everyday life.

Ali said this was to respond to the statement of the vice presidential candidate number 1 Muhaimin Iskandar who doubted Khofifah's NU after the East Java governor decided to join in supporting Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

Ali also reminded NU and the National Awakening Party (PKB) that there are two different things.

NU, according to Ali, is an Islamic organization that focuses on programs or religious and social activities (jamiyah ijtima'iyah tauryyah), while PKB is part of practical political practice.

"So, NU's character with political parties is different. So, requiring NU residents to support certain candidate pairs is not to fulfill the basics of NU's relations with politics," said Ali.

Despite saying NU is not political, Ali admits that the relationship between the two still exists. However, he emphasized that the choice of NU citizens must be based on conscience and prioritizes the preservation of NU's structural and cultural aspects.

"From TKN itself, we are grateful that the majority of NU residents are currently entrusting their political aspirations through Prabowo-Gibran. This is not wrong, both structurally and culturally," said Ali.

Previously, Muhaimin Iskandar expressed his doubts about Nahdliyin residents who supported the Prabowo-Gibran candidate pair. Muhaimin's doubts referred to Khofifah Indar Parawan, dear, officially supporting Prabowo-Gibran.

According to him, everyone with NU ideology will definitely support the candidate pair Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN).

This statement was made by Muhaiminusai holding a meeting with breeders in Ponggok District, Blitar, East Java, Thursday (11/1).

"People who have NU ideology must be istikamah to AMIN. I doubt the NU if they don't choose AMIN," said Muhaimin.
