6,707 APKs Lowered, Tangerang Bawaslu: There Is Always A New Banner Appearing

TANGERANG - A total of 6,707 campaign props (APK) were removed by the Tangerang City Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) because many violated the General Election Commission (KPU) regulations.

The places that were violated in the installation of the APB were, such as houses of worship, health services, educational places, government-owned buildings, certain government-owned facilities, and other public facilities that disturb public order.

Tangerang City Bawaslu chairman Komarulloh said the thousands of APKs that were sent were recorded from December 15, 2023, to January 15, 2024.

"From yesterday's campaign until now from December 15 to January 15 yesterday, we have lowered the APK to 6,707 in the city of Tangerang," said Komarulloh when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, January 16.

Nevertheless, Komarulloh admitted that the APK that had been lowered had been re-installed. According to him, it seems that they do not pay attention to the rules set by the General Elections Commission (KPU).

"However, many more new APKs have emerged, so I urge you to invite the poltic or legislative parties not to install the APK in prohibited locations," he said.

Komarulloh also said that his party together with the Pramong Praja Unit (PP) would take action in the near future regarding the APB which violated the rules.

"Later in the near future we will lower it again in Tangerang City," he said
