Expeditionary Trucks That Often Unload Goods Are Finally Acted By Transportation Agency Officers

The Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department took action against several expedition service trucks that often park and unload goods on sidewalks and roads in the Tanah Abang District, Central Jakarta, Thursday, January 11. The action was in the form of granting a ticket.

Head of the Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-department (Kasudin), Wildan Anwar, said that his party had followed up on reports from the public regarding loading and unloading trucks in Tanah Abang.

"This is a follow-up to controlling illegal parking and loading and unloading in the Tanah Abang area. There are three trucks in the BAP ticketing according to applicable regulations," said Wildan when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, January 11.

The follow-up was a quick response from officers from the Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. after receiving complaints from the public.

"We have TL related to the truck, we are BAP. The expedition truck is on Jalan Kebon Kacang 12, Tanah Abang District," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the loading and unloading of expedition service trucks in the Tanah Abang Market area was increasingly widespread and took advantage of pedestrian sidewalk facilities. The loading and unloading of expedition goods often closes pedestrian access because the existing sidewalks are used as parking lots for expedition services.

A number of expedition service trucks carried out loading and unloading carelessly on Jalan Kebon Kacang XII, Jalan Moch Hasbi along with the Melati Reservoir, Jalan Jat Jatibaru Raya, Jalan KH Mas Mansyur and a number of other roads.

"In addition, there are only trucks loading and unloading trucks hanging around the sidewalks and roads. Even though the road has narrowed, Central Jakarta Transportation officers must take action so that they are deterrent," said Rahman, one of the road users, Thursday, January 11.
