Eddy Hiariej's Subordinates Were Questioned By The KPK Regarding Acceptance Of Bribes And Gratuities

JAKARTA - Allegations of former Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights (Wamenkumham) Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej or Eddy Hiariej received bribes and gratuities from the President Director of PT Citra Lampia Mandiri (CLM) Helmut Hermawan through his subordinates were investigated by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Three witnesses were questioned by investigators on Tuesday, January 9. "Witnesses were present and further confirmed regarding the alleged giving of money from suspect HH to suspect EOSH as Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights through his trusted people," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri in a written statement quoted Thursday, January 11. Ali said the three witnesses examined were Yosi Andika Mulyadi who is Eddy's personal assistant, lawyer named Yogi Arie Rukmana, and private party Anita Zizlavsky who is the Secretary of the Directors of PT CLM. The first two names included as the suspect in this case. Previously reported, the KPK officially announced Eddy Hiariej as a suspect. He allegedly received money up to Rp8 billion which was divided several times for a number of purposes involving the boss of PT CLM, Helmut Hermawan. Eddy's first acceptance was made after he agreed to provide a general legal administration consultation for the dispute over ownership of PT CLM. At that time Helmut gave Rp4 billion. Then, he also received Rp3 billion to stop the legal process involving Helmut at Bareskrim Polri through the issuance of an investigation termination order (SP3).

Finally, Eddy is suspected of using his power as Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights to unblock PT CLM in the Legal Entity Administration System (SABH) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. He then received Rp1 billion which was used to run for the Head of the Central Management of the Indonesian Tennis Association (PP Pelti). The KPK suspects that Eddy made this acceptance through two people as his representative. They are lawyers named Yosi Andika Mulyadi and Yogi Arie Rukmana who are his personal assistants who are also suspects in this case.
