The Canggu-Tibubeneng Bali Shortcut Line Is Officially Opened, Breaking The Tourism Route

BADUNG - The Badung Regency Government, Bali, has officially opened a Canggu-Tibubeneng shortcut route to unravel congestion that often occurs in tourist areas in the North Badung area.

"This is one of our programs to unravel congestion. We make sure that once this route is opened for the public interest, traffic can run smoothly and not become as bad as before," said Badung Regent I Nyoman Giri Prasta during the inauguration of the route in Badung as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 10.

The Canggu-Tibubeneng shortcut line, which is located at the Padonan intersection, has a length of 335 meters with a width of 8 meters equipped with pedestrians and is built on an area of 26 are.

The road was built using the APBD budget for changes to 2023 in Badung Regency amounting to Rp6.2 billion for road projects and Rp25 billion for land acquisition, with a work time of approximately two months.

Regent Giri Prasta said that his party was grateful to the land owners who had provided full support related to the Cibubeneng Canggu shortcut program.

According to him, the socialization process for land acquisition for the shortcut road had previously been going on for a long time, but the execution time was running quickly.

"We are grateful to be able to do this soon so that the really congestion that occurs in this tourist destination area can be decomposed," he said.

As another effort to overcome the problem of congestion in Badung, his party together with the central government are currently preparing a plan to build an LRT/MRT mode of transportation to create a sustainable public transportation system.

"Tomorrow the Badung Regency team and the central government team will come from Korea related to the MRT. We have requested for the MRT construction, we have to take into account Bali 1,000 years later, starting from this one year, to provide a large-scale underground transportation system.

"Hopefully this can be groundbreaking in January, so that congestion on the Island of the Gods can be unraveled starting from Badung Regency, so that all districts get adequate transportation facilities," said Regent Giri Prasta.
