JAKARTA - The Kura Kura Bali Special Economic Zone (KEK) officially presents Sira Village-Grand Outlet Bali, the first and largest village outlet in Bali, with an investment value of IDR 1.5 trillion.

The presence of this commercial facility is projected to create more than 1,000 jobs while strengthening the attractiveness of investment and the tourism sector on the Island of the Gods.

Sira Village is developed by PT Bali Turtle Island Development (BTID) as the Bali Kura Kura Tourism Development and Management Agency (BUPP) together with Mitsubishi Estate.

The presence of this area is expected to strengthen the attractiveness of investment as well as encourage Bali's economic growth.

Carrying the open space concept, Sira Village presents more than 100 premium brands through around 130 retail and culinary outlets.

In addition, this area also provides space for local UMKM actors, artists, and creative products as part of the development of a culture-based economy.

Acting Secretary General of the National Council of KEK, Rizal Edwin Manansang, said that the presence of Sira Village is the result of collaboration that strengthens the investment ecosystem in KEK Kura Kura Bali while supporting the development of quality tourism in Indonesia.

"In the midst of the ever-evolving global dynamics, tourism has an important role in driving economic growth and providing direct benefits to the community. The presence of Sira Village Grand Outlet Bali strengthens Bali's appeal as a world-class retail and lifestyle destination. This destination is expected to expand labor absorption, drive the local business sector and supply chain, and provide wider economic benefits to the community," he said in a statement, quoted Sunday, August 2.

Meanwhile, President Director of PT Grand Outlet Bali, Tantowi Yahya, said that Sira Village was built not only as a shopping center, but as a destination that presents a typical Bali experience through a combination of retail activities, culture, and public spaces.

"We don't want to just build an outlet. We want to present a village, a place where people can walk leisurely, enjoy the sunset with their families before heading to the airport, bring a cup of coffee, and go home with beautiful memories from Bali," he said.

In line with this, Executive Officer of Mitsubishi Estate, Toru Hayamizu, conveyed that the collaboration between Mitsubishi Estate and BTID was based on a shared vision to present a destination that is able to integrate international investment with local potential, without neglecting cultural values and sustainability.

"Today is not only about opening a new retail destination, but also the realization of a shared vision, a strong partnership, and a commitment to building Bali's future. We want to create a destination where international investment and local creativity can thrive together while respecting culture, society, and the environment," he said.

Until Semester I 2026, KEK Kura Kura Bali has recorded cumulative investment realization of IDR 1.79 trillion, with the absorption of 2,173 workers and involving three business actors.

Throughout Semester I 2026, investment realization reached IDR 335.92 billion or 33.56 percent of the annual target of IDR 1.001 trillion, while labor absorption reached 499 people or 38.18 percent of the target of 1,307 workers.

The presence of Sira Village is expected to accelerate the realization of investment in the KEK Kura Kura Bali, increase tourist visits, open new business opportunities, and expand labor absorption.

With the increasingly complete facilities available, KEK Kura Kura Bali is expected to further strengthen its role as one of the drivers of Bali's economic growth as well as supporting the development of the national tourism sector.
