Bathing In The Rain, A 5-year-old Boy Was Dragged By The River, Found Dead

JAKARTA - A boy named Azril (5) alias MAA died as a result of drowning and being dragged by the current of the water channel while bathing in the rain on Jalan Kerja Bakti, Gang Madukara, RT 07/02, Makasar Village, Makasar District, East Jakarta. The victim entered the sewers - sewers of the water channel.

When found by the joint SAR team, Azril was dead on Saturday, January 6. The joint SAR team found the victim's body in the Cipinang River, which is the estuary of the waterway.

"The victim was found after a search was carried out with a distance of 4 kilometers from the scene, precisely under the Halim Toll flyover," said Head of the Jakarta Basarnas as SAR Mission Coordinator (SMC) in the SAR Operation, Fazzli when confirmed, Sunday, January 7.

Then the victim's body was evacuated from Cipinang River to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital. The victim was found after a joint SAR search operation was carried out which was divided into 2 areas.

"The first team conducted an SAR exploration along the Water Channel up to a radius of 200 meters from the scene. And the second team conducted a search by combing using a rubber boat up to a radius of 4 KM from the scene," he said.

Meanwhile, the joint SAR personnel involved in the search for victims came from the Jakarta Basarnas, East Jakarta Damkar, DKI Jakarta BPBD, Makasar Police, Makasar Koramil and other volunteers.
