Head of Laka Satlantas East Jakarta, AKP Darwis explained, the body of a junior high school (SMP) student who died after an accident on Jalan Raya I Gusti Ngurah Rai, to be precise the Pondok Kopi Flyover (FO), west, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, was covered in a flag cloth by passing motorists.

"It's the party flag and road users (used) to cover the body. So it's not because of the party flag (the cause of the accident)," said AKP Darwis when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, January 4.

The reason the riders who crossed the Pondok Kopi Flyover covered the victim's body was with the PDI-P Party flag and the Gerindra Party because they were to avoid video recordings by other motorists, while waiting for evacuation assistance.

"It's a pity if the bodies are left open and waiting for evacuation by us. I emphasize that the party's umbuls are only a cover for the bodies. That's not the cause. That's not a problem because of the party's flag," he explained.

As a result of the deadly accident, the victim suffered serious head injuries and died at the crime scene (TKP).

For further autopsy, the victim's body was evacuated to the RSCM for further processing.

"The victim's motorbike, Yamaha, with number B 4928 TSR, was secured to the East Jakarta Laka Unit," he said.
