MAKASSAR - PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) cut off electricity at the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol-PP) and Makassar City Trade Office. The power cut was carried out because the Trade Office and the Civil Service Police Unit offices had been in arrears to pay usage charges for a month.
Head of the Makassar City Trade Office, Muh. Yasir in Makassar, said that he caught the power outage after his staff reported it directly to him.
"Yes, it was true that it was cut off after my staff reported, he said, the electricity was withdrawn by PLN. But this condition always occurs and is usually in arrears, but why was the electricity revoked only this year," he said as quoted by Antara, Saturday, February 20.
Yasir explained that delays in paying PLN bills often occur every year. The reason is because the 2021 budget is currently running and is temporarily in the search process.
He said that delays in electricity payments had occurred several times in previous years, especially at the beginning of the fiscal year.
Yasir was surprised, because it was only this year that PT. PLN had cut off electricity after one month in arrears. The delay in payment is said to be because the 2021 budget disbursement is still in the process stage.
"We do not know why it was cut off because we have written to PLN not to revoke electricity due to the ongoing 2021 budget," he said.
