Asked About The Possibility Of Reshuffle Again, Jokowi: Whose Reference? I Answer Firmly, No!

JAKARTA - News has circulated that President Joko Widodo will resume reshuffling his ranks of ministers. However, when asked, Jokowi denied this.

This question was raised during a meeting with the chief editor of the national media at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 17, 2021.

"Oh no, nothing, nothing (reshuffle)," said Jokowi in the Presidential Secretariat Youtube uploaded on Saturday, February 20.

Jokowi said that currently, the government is still busy handling the COVID-19 pandemic. He was surprised if the news of volume two reshuffle circulated in the public.

"We take care of this pandemic. Another reshuffle? Who else is it, whose reference is it? No, I answered firmly, nothing," he said.

Previously Jokowi reshuffled six of his cabinet ranks. This replacement was made on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. Jokowi appointed Tri Rismaharini to replace Juliari Peter Batubara, Minister of Social Affairs, Sandiaga Uno as Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy replacing Wishnutama.

Then, Jokowi appointed Sakti Wahyu Trenggono as Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries replacing Edhy Prabowo, Yaqut Choilil Coumas as Minister of Religion replacing Fachrul Razi, Budi Gunadi Sadikin replacing Terawan Agus Putranto as Minister of Health, and Muhammad Lutfi as Minister of Trade replacing Agus Supratmanto.
