Sunter Hulu Water Gate Is Alert 1, Here Are Some Areas Warned Of Floods

JAKARTA - The status of the Sunter Hulu Water Gate, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, is on alert 1 before dawn. The condition of the water level rose because of the continuous heavy rains.

BPBD DKI informed that the current condition of the water level (TMA) at the Sunter Hulu Monitoring Post reached 275 cm at 02.00 Western Indonesia time, Saturday, February 20.

BPBD DKI Jakarta urges residents on the riverbanks to be aware of flooding because in the next 4 hours the water will reach the Pulo Gadung floodgate.

The areas that the Sunter Hulu monitoring post river flows through are Bambu Apus, Cilangkap, Pondok Ranggon, Setu, Lubang Buaya, Pondok Bambu, Pondok Kelapa, Cipinang. Then Cipinang Melayu, Cipinang Muara, Duren Sawit.

Then Jatinegara Kaum, Kayu Putih, Pulogadung, Sumur Batu, Kelapa Gading Barat, Kelapa Gading Timur, Kebon Bawang, Rawa Badak Selatan and Rawa Badak Utara, and Sungai Bambu.

Meanwhile, residents were also asked to be cautious because the water level at the Cipinang Hulu Monitoring Post reached 160 cm or Alert III.

The areas passed by the Cipinang Hulu Monitoring Post river flows are Cibubur, Cipinang, Cipinang Besar Selatan, Cipinang Besar Utara, Dukuh, Halim Perdanakusuma, Kebon Pala, Kramat Jati, Makassar, Pekayon, Pinang Ranti and Rambutan.

Meanwhile, the monitoring post for Pasar Ikan reaches 208 cm or Alert II.

Areas that are likely to be affected by flooding due to rain are Kamal Muara, Kapuk Muara, Penjaringan, Pluit, Ancol, Kamal, Marunda, Cilincing, and Kalibaru.
