Fire Victims In Duren Sawit Receive Sandang And Food Assistance

JAKARTA - Fire victims of residents of Jalan H. Naman RT 03/02, Pondok Kelapa Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, received assistance from the East Jakarta Social Sub-dept.

Acting Head of East Jakarta Social Sub-dept., Abdul Salam explained, residents affected by fires living in 8 rented houses received 80 kilograms of rice, 10 boxes of instant noodles, 10 packs of cooking oil, 10 bottles of sweet soy sauce, three boxes of biscuits and 12 boxes of mineral water.

"Then the details for clothing needs are 10 sheets of towels, 10 sheets of adult blankets, 10 sarongs, 10 oblong shirts, 10 negligee, 10 mukena, 20 sanitary napkins. In addition, 12 adult pampers, 2 dozen male underwear, 2 dozen female underwear, 2 dozen bras," he said, Friday, December 22.

In addition, the fire victims also received ready-to-eat food assistance. This fire survivors assistance has been provided since yesterday afternoon.

The East Jakarta Social Sub-dept. also set up a refugee camp to accommodate the 40 people who were victims of the fire. It is planned that the tent will be established for seven days until December 26.

"We provide ready-to-eat food for breakfast and lunch, 50 boxes each and mineral water. Because in the evening the assistance is given from PMI East Jakarta," he said.
