Grace Natalie: Hopefully JK's Presence In AMIN Can Make Conditions More Cool

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN), Grace Natalie, said that the provision of support by Jusuf Kalla (JK) to the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar pair made the political situation "adem".

"Pak JK is a national figure, hopefully the presence of Mr. JK there can make the conditions even better," Grace said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, December 21.

Grace said the former chairman of the Golkar Party was one of the senior figures she respected.

He respects every political choice made by the former 10th and 12th vice presidents of the Republic of Indonesia as well as the former member of the Golkar Party Advisory Council.

Therefore, Grace ensured that the transfer of support carried out by JK would not create turmoil or division of the internal TKN.

"Hopefully later his comments or statements as a person that we really like, we respect will make the contest even more cool, and not the other way around," he said.

JK is currently still in the Golkar Party circle. Golkar itself is currently in the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) supporting Prabowo-Gibran.

JK emphasized its political stance in supporting the Candidates for President and Vice President Anies Rasyid Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) in the 2024 presidential election.

This statement was made by JK while attending the gathering of the Presidium of the People's Movement of South Sulawesi for the National Team (Timnas) for the AMIN Winning at the IMM Islamic Center Building, Makassar City, South Sulawesi, Tuesday (19/12).

"So, tonight, in Makassar, I convey my attitude of supporting AMIN. Hopefully there will be benefits for all of you," said JK.

JK said Anies Baswedan was a political student. So far, JK has provided a lot of input to Anies regarding the nation's problems.

JK assessed that the former Governor of DKI Jakarta was a leader with tested credibility. The reason, said JK, Anies was never reported to be involved in a corruption case. In fact, when someone tried to link Anies to a corruption case, such as Formula E, it ended up failing.

"Because there is no (corruption) problem in Formula E. So, the integrity, the logic thinking ability is good, experienced. Alhamdulillah, there are many good ones. So, if you want to take this nation to a good place, you have to choose Anies," said JK.

JK stated that his political stance in the 2024 presidential election was objective and personal even though he had boundaries because he was no longer active in many political activities.
