SOLO - PDAM Toya Wening Solo, Central Java, stopped the operation of water treatment installations because the waste polluted the water of the Bengawan Solo River. With this condition, it is not possible to process it into raw water. "The Semanggi, Jurug and Jebres installations are now not operating. The Semanggi installation started at dawn," said PDAM Information Officer Toya Wening Solo, Bayu Tunggul in Solo, Central Java, Antara, Thursday, December 21. Meanwhile, Jurug and Jebres installations began to stop operating at 11.00 WIB. He said the cause of the cessation of operations was the same as some time before, namely because the quality of raw water was very difficult to process. "The water is thick black and smells of alcohol. The cause is the same," he said. Regarding production capacity, he said, for Semanggi Installation of 80 liters/second, Jurug Installation of 100 liters/second and Jebres Installation of 50 liters/second. As a result of this, he said, PDAM Toya Wening could not distribute clean water needs to customers. There is even an area, namely Mojo Village, which asks for clean water to be dropped. "But we haven't served it yet, we are still waiting to be able to process it again soon. Hopefully in the afternoon or evening it can flow to customers," he said.

He said that in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), water droppings to new customers can only be done after 1x24 hours starting from the distribution stop, namely Thursday morning. Meanwhile, with the operational cessation of the three installations, around 18,000 water customers in Solo City were affected by clean water difficulties. He could not confirm how long the condition would take place and Instalation could be re-operated.
