Man In Semarang Found Dead With Wound On Neck Allegedly Victim Of Beating

JAKARTA - Police are investigating the death of a man who was allegedly killed as a result of being beaten on Jalan Pasirmas Raya, North Semarang, Semarang City, Central Java, on Friday morning. Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Semarang Polrestabes AKBP Donny Lumbantoruan said the murder incident had been handled by the police. According to him, the victim's initials D (30) is a resident of Brotojoyo Dalam, Semarang City. He was found lying on the road with wounds on the neck. Residents who knew the identity of the victim then informed the family, before finally being forwarded to the police. The victim was rushed to the hospital before finally being declared dead and taken to the morgue of Dr. Kariadi Hospital Semarang. Meanwhile, from the information gathered, the victim was allegedly beaten by dozens of people whose identities were not yet known.

The perpetrators are said to be riding motorbikes while chasing the victim around Jalan Pasirmas Raya. At the scene of the incident, signs of violence were found which were suspected to be the cause of the death toll.
