COVID-19 In South Tangerang Alami Improvements

TANGERANG - Ahead of the 2023-2024 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holidays, there were 64 residents of South Tangerang (Tangsel) who were confirmed to have COVID 19. This was confirmed directly by the Head of the South Tangerang City Health Office, Allin Hendalin Mahdaniar.

There were 64 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in South Tangerang City. There were 23 additional cases and 7 cases (43.7%) increased compared to the previous day," Allin said in his statement, Wednesday, December 13.

Based on the verification team in the field, there were 2 people undergoing treatment at the hospital and others undergoing self-isolation at home. However, continued Allin, currently no increase has died due to COVID 19.

"The increase in the trend of cases in South Tangerang City is also not followed by an increase in COVID-19 deaths," he said.

As a preventive measure, the South Tangerang Health Office monitors the development of COVID 19. In addition, it also monitors the trend of increasing cases of Influenza Like Illness (ILI), pneumonia, SARI through an early alert and response system (SKDR) as well as ILI-SARI (Severe Acute Respiratory Infection) surveillance.

"Through the UPTD Puskesmas, monitoring of COVID 19 patients in South Tangerang City is carried out," he explained.

Allin said that currently the City Health Office has submitted a request for the COVID 19 vaccine to Banten Province. The vaccine will be dropped to health care facilities soon.

"The type of vaccine that can be used by the public is a domestically made vaccine," he said.
