Bringing Sickles And Molotov, 26 Teenagers Arrested By Police

JAKARTA - A total of 26 teenage brawlers were arrested by the West Jakarta Metro Police Precision Pioneer Patrol Team from three different locations in two sub-districts. In addition to arresting 26 teenagers, the police also confiscated a number of sharp weapons.

Head of Samapta West Jakarta Metro Police AKBP M Hari Agung Julianto said the evidence that was secured was 10 sickle blades, 2 golf clubs, 2 duck coding units, 1 samurai to a Molotov blunder.

The first arrests were made of 12 teenagers on Jalan Cendrawasih X, RT 6/17, Cengkareng, West Jakarta. Then 10 other teenagers were arrested on Jalan Cendrawasih Raya, Cengkareng, West Jakarta.

"Meanwhile, 4 other teenagers were arrested on Jalan Sawah Mede Kamal, Kalideres, West Jakarta. We confiscated Molotov cocktail bottles from this location. In addition, we confiscated 2 sharp sickle-type weapons, 2 duck corcors, and 1 samurai blades," said AKBP M Hari, when confirmed, Monday, December 11.

AKBP M Hari emphasized that his party would not tolerate anyone who would make noise so that it would not make it comfortable in the West Jakarta area.

"We will take firm action and will be processed into further legal proceedings," he said.

Then, as many as 22 teenagers were handed over to the Cengkareng Police. Meanwhile, 4 other teenagers were handed over to the Kalideres Police along with evidence," he said.

Separately, the Head of the Cengkareng Police, Kompol Hasoloan Situmorang, confirmed that his party accepted the handover of 22 teenagers along with the weapons.

"Currently as many as 22 teenagers are undergoing the investigation process by investigators. We are also confiscating their sharp weapons," said Police Commissioner Hasoloan.

Kompol Hasoloan appealed to the role of parents in supervising and educating their children to be very necessary.

"Don't let children get involved in unlawful behavior that harms him, his parents and his own family," he said.
